OUR PLANS IN BIHAR
Musahar Project
We have children from the Musahar tribe joining our schools, however the Musahar tribe have no land or property so they move from wheat harvest to the city then back to the fields for the rice harvest. Sometimes they find work as labourers but if not they are obliged to beg. We are planning to build a home for the Musahar children, see floor plan. We are hoping to building in April 2026. We have a caretaker who will live with the children and cook three meals a day. We have 4 children from 3 Musahar families who have asked us to look after their children so that they can maintain their studies.

This boy is 9 years old
It is hard for his father to find work, and when he does, he spends all the money on alcohol. This affects his mother and of course. His mother wants her child to study at one of our AALHT village schools, be safe in our hostel, so that he can have a good start and secure a brighter future.

This girl is 10 years old
The girl’s mother is very worried about her family's financial situation. The parents are unable to provide food for their child or help her have a good education. This little girl is forced to go to work with her parents and therefore unable to attend school regularly. Her parents are requesting that she be admitted to our charity’s future hostel so that she can continue her studies and secure a brighter future.

Two girls aged 9 and 6
Their parents are in a very bad situation. The father is unable to work because he suffers from haemorrhoids. There are four sisters, and one is older, whom we cannot take into our charity because she does all the household chores. There is also the youngest sister who needs her mother, but the mother is mentally unwell; she forgets things and is not capable of raising the children. Due to their inability to work, they cannot manage their household expenses or provide education for their children. They are requesting that we take their two middle daughters, into our care so that they can receive the best possible education and be helped to build a successful future. They are unable to provide their children with proper food and shelter. If we are able to take these two children into our care and provide them with food, shelter, and education, it will significantly reduce the burden on their family.
